No one ever said being an artist was easy...in fact, some might argue that the amount of effort that's required to be an artist is what brings out their passion.

That being said, why is it so hard to find reasonably priced art supplies?  Regardless of whether you're a professional or an amateur, every artist needs material to work with - and forget about the cliche...an artist shouldn't have to starve to be able to afford supplies. 

Although our site is generally focused on art and art supplies, you'll find that we've put together this site without any specific goal in mind.  You will come across some helpful tips, a few questions & answers, and links to resources where you can find affordable supplies.  We've tried not to limit the topics to any one medium, so you may find information on just about any type of art - painting, pottery, ceramics, crafts, scrapbooking and illustration, just to name a few.
