Help me measure my wooden ducks?
I have a few wooden drucks that I need to measure. They are a strange shape so I don't know how to get proper detentions. Please help me measure my wooden ducks?
Shape is secondary when you're looking for measurement. Tallest/highest point vertically - widest point horizontally is about where you're going to have to settle. Lay the ducks down on newspapers as flat as you can, then eyeball widest point and then tallest point. Make pencil ticks on each side - tall, top point and bottom; wide, left point and right. That's gonna be as close as you can get. Height & width, gotcha! If each duck is a different pose or design, you're gonna have to do this for each of them. If they match, then you're set with doing just one. Kwak-kwak...are you going to make clothes for them or what? Measuring for fabric is totally different than measuring for other purposes...hope a dressmaker who knows from ducks can chip in on this one. I'm imagining an installation of wooden ducks along a railing or wall... nekkid ducks, no undies.
