Tempera Paint

What kind of paper to use with tempera paint?
Do I have to use Bristol paper with tempera, or is there another (less expensive!) kind that will hold up to it and not warp as it dries?
Poster board is cheaper than bristol board and will work fine with tempera. Buy it at walmart or the like. Cardboard with a white primed surface, (latex) would be fine. Good luck!
