The simplest home security one can get is from man's best friend; yes, a big, ferocious and well-trained dog is the best security one can hope to get for the home and family, especially in homes that have a yard for the animal to also play around in.
Other than that, there are basic yard signs that act as a deterrent that the house one is thinking of breaking into may have a comprehensive home security system that is fully-automated and monitored round the clock. The more comprehensive security packages for the home consist of a safes, security cameras, (some connected to a 24-VCR or direct download of the day's recording to the PC), smoke and motion sensors, heat detectors and dual CO detectors besides those meant for the doors and windows specifically.
So, choose from any one of these basic home security ideas and safeguard your personal property.
