What's the deal with Victoria Secrets and Build A Bear Workshops?
Where I live, there are only two malls (so I can't speak for ALL areas), but in both malls there is a Victoria Secrets directly across from or next door to a Build A Bear Workshop. Based off these two locations, I would have to think that their is an underlying strategy here. Has anybody else noticed this in other areas? I am wondering if they are both owned by the same parent company? Personally I find this kind of subliminal advertising to young girls disturbing. That is if it's intentional. If it's not, then I would have to say it's just irresponsible planning.
I have a daughter whom I will certainly not let go to either of these Workshops as the first thing young girls see when they leave Build A Bear is lingere on scantily clad women. And we wonder why teenage girls walk around like hoochies. With role models like Bratz, what should we expect. Anyways (sorry for the rant), my question is simply "Has anybody else noticed VS next to a BaBW in other areas?"
At the mall by my house, Victorias secret is way on the other end of the mall from build a bear.
As for the whole lingerie on manaquinns thing - I remember seeing that stuff when I was a kid, and it didnt scar me one bit. My parents going into histrionics about me viewing it, that would be potentially scarring.
