Gouache Paints

what kind of paint should i buy- gouache or watercolour?
i like drawing, nd right now im trying to buy some paint, and im not sure which one is better. PLEASE HELP!!! nd if u know wat watercolour and gouache are mostly used for, please include that in your answer))
TNXX))
Gouache is expensive, difficult to mix and paint with the correct consistency. It provides excellent control, and was used for professional design work before computers. If it's too wet, then it will crack when it dries. If it's too dry, then it will not paint on smoothly, so you have to find the balance.
Watercolor is cheaper, easier to mix, but lacks the control that gouache provides. You need watercolor paper, not regular paper, and you need a workspace that you can affix the paper to, so that while it dries it doesn't warp the paper. Watercolor is often used for artistic, organic imagery with colors that mix together, like sunsets, landscapes, etc.
Hope that helps!
