Gold Leaf
How do you apply gold leaf to furniture?
I have an idea about applying gold leaf to paper/vellum as in manuscript painting and calligraphy: by mixing gum arabic and gold leaf to the consistency of a paste or paint, is that correct? would this be durable enough for furniture or is there another technique?
to do lettering you would need to stencil the lettering with the adhesive and put the gold leaf on it and brush away the excess gold and then varnish
