Drawing Pad

How would one ride a bicycle while carrying a drawing board and drawing pad?
I am a first year college student and I commute to school by bicycle.
Depends on the size of the objects. If they are both not much larger than an A4 sheet then the best way is a pannier. If your cycle has no rack fitted, you will need to fit one first before carrying panniers.
Using a backpack is possible but is not the best choice as it involves carrying weight on your skeleton rather than on your cycle's frame, and it means the weight being higher up which affects balance.
If the drawing board is too large to fit in a pannier then a trailer may be the best solution.
Do not ride carrying things under your arm - it is dangerous.
