Border Stencil

I have a living room that am redoing. i was thinking pale yellow because all furniture is green..ye?
i have a ivy stencil that i am painting as a border in the middle and there are four windows that allow a lot of light into the room. the carpet was laid last year and it is a light gray. i wanted something that is warm and inviting but not too powerful.
That most definately would be pretty to me. I am not an interior designer. I just have redone and flipped many houses. They all sold very well and people, the majority, like the decorations. Most people did not repaint. Many kept most the same decorations until time to redo.
