Arches Watercolor

Should I draw then stretch my watercolor paper or stretch then draw on my watercolor paper?
I was wondering if I should draw on my watercolor paper first then stretch it, or should I stretch it, wait till it dries, and then draw on it.
I use a 140 lb cold pressed Arches Watercolor paper.
I plan to do a pretty detailed drawing.
u always stretch the paper BEFORE doing anything on it.
otherwise it defeats the purpose.
stretching the paper allows it to stay nice and flat/straight n not going all crinkly n yuk like paper does when it gets wet .
put it on a board, stretch it n leave it there to dy then do what ur doing. n onlyt when ur finished do u take it off the board

Bill Watterson's expressive and creative artwork provides the perfect complement to the amusing script of possibilities experienced by this terrific twosome. With each encounter, we are invited into Calvin's world, and although we can't transmogrify ourselves into Spaceman Spiff, a giant dinosaur, or an invisible cookie snatcher, we can certainly enjoy a vicarious ride...
