Alizarin Crimson

How do I get the smell of mineral spirits out of my clothes?
I was in my painting class today and I happened to get alizarin crimson oil paint on my jeans and sweatshirt sleeve. I immediately went home after school and read up on how to remove the paint, and my mom's handy-dandy stain removing book said to flush the clothing with turpentine then rinse with cold water. We didn't have any turpentine at home, so I used the next best thing...low-odor mineral spirits. I followed the directions in the book and the paint came out completely and they look as good as new. Though, I don't know why they called the mineral spirits "low-odor" because after laundering my jeans and sweatshirt twice, the smell refuses to come out. Does anyone have any ideas at how to weaken or remove the smell?
Definitely go with baking soda and vinegar added to your soap dispenser.
