Air Hose
does all the portable air conditioner require an exhaust hose?
I'm just looking for a portable air conditioner, but I find out that most of them has a hose, is there necessary to have a hose for conditioner?
Yes, The way A/C (cooling) works is warm air travels over an evaporator that has refrigerant the heat from that air is absorbed by the liquid refrigerant the liquid turns into gas and is then super heated by a compressor and passed on to the ambient out side. In short hot goes to cold. By super heating the air it can be passed on to the ambient which is cooler. If there was no means to dissipate the heat it would just be pumped back into the room and make it hotter. This is as short as I can make it. We can not manufacture cold we merely move heat from one place to another. Your refrigerator is taking the heat from within it and putting in the room. If you put your hand in back while it is running you will feel the heat.
