Acrylic Painting

concrete block house and possible acrylic painting?
Our house is concrete block and we are considering painting it. One of the contractors that we interviewed suggested an acrylic paint which would give the house a smooth texture and get rid of the concrete block look. Does anyone have experience with this - the pros and cons.
What's normally used is block filler which primes and smooths the surface of block. There are a lot of acrylic products out there so I can't positively say this is what he was talking about but this is the industry standard for priming concrete block. Once block filler is used then you need to use a compatible finish coat. Here's a link to give you a little more info.
